HISTORY
On Friday, March 9, 1984 witnessed by 50 Sorors from neighboring chapters, 26 members of the Delray Beach Alumnae Chapter were duly charted by Regional Director Verdelle Bellamy. Following the March 9th formal chartering ceremony, 21 Deltas from Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Boca Raton celebrated with the community. A gala luncheon was held and the group's theme Deltas Linked Together for Service was unveiled.
This milestone was the closing of a two year process which consisted of service projects related to senior citizens, tutorial assistance for students and family activities.

It was not until the Chapter's attendance at the San Francisco National Convention following the chartering, that the name was officially changed to South Palm Beach County Alumnae. This was done with the support of National President, Dr. Yvonne Kennedy.
